About Me
My Story
To sum it all up, over the years I’ve realized that I’m not the typical designer. And no, I’m not about to tell you something cringe worthy like, “I think outside the box” or how “exceptionally uncommon I am”. On any given day I design, illustrate, manage projects, manage other talent, speak with clients, art direct, mentor other designers or students, construct marketing strategy, organize files and sometimes I’m the IT department fixing metaphorical technical fires. With that being said, my passion goes beyond design and I invest extensive work and time into any project on which I am working. A healthy workplace is a collective of collaborative synergy and engagement.
Additionally, behind the client decks and commercial deadlines, there runs a deeper current: a genuine, lifelong devotion to creating art for art’s sake. It’s a parallel pursuit, one that fuels everything I do. My personal work lives in a space between play and precision—where surrealism meets Street Art, where color is used recklessly and purposefully, and where ideas are free to be raw, unfiltered, and emotionally charged. Art has never been just a side hustle. It’s how I stay grounded. Within this endeavor I go by the pseudonym “DUPPY”. This is how I explore without rules. And how I bring more soul into the structure of the work I do professionally. One feeds the other.
By night, I teach as an Adjunct Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology helping young designers not only refine their skills but sharpen their voices—pushing students beyond aesthetics and into intention.
I intrinsically know how transformative one piece of guidance can be—how a nudge, a challenge, or even the right question can redirect an entire career. I teach because I believe in investing in the next generation and giving back what I’ve learned through years of trial, error, and growth. And honestly, their hunger inspires my own.
